Anthony Mollica is an Associate Professor in the Department of General Dentistry at the Dental College of Georgia, Augusta University. He began his full-time academic career on June 1, 2008, after 27 years in private dental practice, and was promoted to Associate Professor in July 2019.
Education:
- DDS in Dentistry from Ohio State University College (1979)
- BS in Ceramic Sciences and Engineering from Clemson University (1976)
Research Interests: Dr. Mollica's work centers on CAD/CAM design in dentistry and the dental business environment, with significant contributions to dental education methodology, practice management, and technology integration. His research addresses critical gaps in student assessment, entrepreneurial development, and clinical productivity within dental education.
Publication Trends: His 2015-2018 publications reveal a dual focus on educational technology (surface mapping for crown preparations, articulator alternatives) and business aspects of dentistry (entrepreneurial self-efficacy, student productivity).
