Anthony J. Harb is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of California, San Diego. His research focuses on the intersection of language, media, immigration, and education, with a focus on social justice and inequality. He holds training in Sociolinguistics, Linguistic Anthropology, and Education, and has conducted fieldwork in rural Minnesota examining immigrant communities' use of community radio for identity assertion. His work is supported by grants from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Institute for Citizens and Scholars.

Teaching includes courses like COMM127: Problem of Voice and COMM168: Bilingual Communication at UCSD. Previously, he taught at CUNY, including Spanish-language classes and linguistic/media courses.
