Anthony Brano is an Associate Professor of English and Director of the Writing Program and Writing Center at Georgian Court University. He holds a Ph.D. in English from Fordham University, along with an M.A. and B.A. from Southern Connecticut State University.
His research interests span Restoration and Eighteenth Century studies, English Political History, Early Modern Theatre, Book History, and Composition and Rhetoric. He has published works exploring themes such as political satire in early modern drama, colonial rhetoric in Shakespearean adaptations, and the role of writing centers in educational spaces.
Brano has presented at conferences including the Shakespeare Association of America and the Mid-Atlantic Popular & American Culture Association. He is actively involved in directing the Writing Center, emphasizing its role as a liminal space for student learning.
His teaching includes courses on academic writing, American literature, and early modern literature. He continues to contribute to scholarly discourse through his research and educational leadership.
