معرفی
Anthony Blazevich is a Professor of Biomechanics at Edith Cowan University's School of Medical and Health Sciences. He specializes in biomechanics, neurophysiology, and strength & conditioning, with a focus on sports performance, muscle mechanics, and neuromuscular adaptation. His research spans topics such as eccentric exercise effects, post-activation potentiation, and age-related neuromuscular changes.
Blazevich holds a PhD (2002) from Southern Cross University and a BSc Honours (1995) from The University of Queensland. He is a Fellow of the Strength & Conditioning Society and the European College of Sports Sciences, and a member of the International Society of Biomechanics.
His recent work includes studies on the physiological impacts of eccentric training, cross-education effects in strength training, and neuromuscular adaptations in adolescents and older adults. He has also contributed to understanding muscle architecture changes and the role of persistent inward currents in motoneurons.
Blazevich collaborates internationally, including as an Adjunct Professor at Brunel University, UK. His publications emphasize translational research in exercise science, with over 150 peer-reviewed articles since 2000.
