Anthea Raisis serves as Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at Murdoch University's School of Veterinary Medicine since 2008, where she coordinates anaesthesia teaching for veterinary undergraduates in years 3-5 and supervises HDR students.
Her educational qualifications include:

Her research centers on cardiopulmonary and renal function in anaesthetised animals—particularly horses and critically ill cases—with expertise in cardiac output monitoring, pulmonary function assessment (EIT, spirometry, volumetric capnography), and renal injury biomarkers. Key focus areas include acute kidney injury, haemorrhagic shock, and anaesthesia safety in veterinary critical care.
Anthea has completed 8 HDR supervisions (3 PhD, 1 MPhil, 5 RMT) and currently guides 2 PhD and 3 RMT candidates. She collaborates extensively with WA Health institutions (Fiona Stanley Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital), University of Western Australia, and Curtin University on 10+ clinical projects, including anaesthesia support for accredited medical training workshops.
