Ansgar Greshake

Ansgar Greshake is a Researcher at the Museum of Natural History, Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Research in Berlin, Germany. He serves as the Curator of the Meteorite Collection and manages two key laboratories: the Transmission Electron Microscopy Laboratory and the Mineralogical Preparation Laboratory. His work focuses on extraterrestrial materials and planetary geology.

Research interests include:

• Formation of high-pressure phases in Martian meteorites
• Genesis of matrix minerals in carbonaceous chondrites
• Classification of new meteorite finds
• Shock wave metamorphism of Martian meteorites
• Meteorite search in the Sahara

Publications highlight his expertise in impact metamorphism and planetary material analysis. He has contributed to studies on Libyan Desert Glass, Martian basaltic shergottites, and helium loss mechanisms in meteorites.
