Anouk Mol-Bakker

Anouk Mol-Bakker is a Lecturer at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Enschede, Netherlands, and a PhD Candidate affiliated with the Healthy Ageing, Allied Health Care and Nursing Centre of Expertise. She is also affiliated with the University of Groningen and the Academic Workshop EMB (severe multiple disabilities). Her work focuses on improving healthcare quality for individuals with severe intellectual and physical disabilities, particularly addressing health problems and multimorbidity in this population.

Education: MSc in Public Health, Environmental and Occupational Health from Utrecht University (2016-2019) and BSc in Physiotherapy from Hanze University of Applied Sciences (2012-2016).

Research interests include caregiver involvement in healthcare identification, pediatric disability health trends, and frailty management. Her 2024 study examined physical health condition prevalence in young children with profound disabilities. Collaborations span academic and clinical institutions focused on disability care. Professional activities include invited talks on pediatric disability healthcare and presentations on gastrointestinal issues in severely disabled individuals.
