Annika Ström is a Professor of Rhetoric at Södertörn University's Department of Culture and Learning, where she also serves as Department Head. She holds an Associate Professorship in Latin since 2002 and specializes in early modern rhetoric, Latin literature, and philology.
Her research centers on:
- Neo-Latin funerary poetry and correspondence from 17th-century Sweden
- Early modern epistolography, rhetoric, and poetics
- Medieval Latin inscriptions
As project leader for studies on the Swedish Baltic Empire and the academic culture of the Baltic Sea Region, she investigates the interplay between rhetoric, cultural identity, and historical methodology. Contact: annika.strom@sh.se
