Annie R. Sharpe is a Professor and Director of the M.S. in Business Analytics Program at the Department of Business Analytics and Information Systems, St. John’s University. She previously served as Dean of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business (2016–2023) and held roles as Senior Associate Dean at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and Professor of Statistics at Babson College. Dr. Sharpe holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College, an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina, and a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Her research focuses on business statistics, enterprise risk management in education, and data-driven decision-making. She co-authored Business Statistics (Pearson Education, 4th Ed.) and contributed a chapter on enterprise risk management in The Future of Business Schools (Edward Elgar Publishing, 2022). She teaches courses such as Business Analytics, Modern Statistics, and Economics Internships.
Dr. Sharpe is a member of the Women’s Forum of New York and serves on multiple nonprofit boards. She has advised global business schools on assessment and accreditation, blending academic rigor with practical industry applications.
