Dr. Annie Garner is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Saint Louis University's College of Arts and Sciences, specializing in clinical child psychology. Her research investigates ADHD-related driving risks in adolescents, examining why adolescents with ADHD experience driving problems through experimental sleep studies and behavioral analysis.
Her research interests focus on the intersection of developmental disorders and real-world functioning, particularly in high-risk activities like adolescent driving. She directs the ADHD Lab, which uses driving simulators and eye-tracking technology to study attention mechanisms.
Dr. Garner's publications demonstrate a consistent focus on ADHD comorbidities, with recent work exploring COVID-19 impacts on driving behavior and family dynamics in risk mitigation. Her 2022–2023 articles reveal methodological innovation in combining clinical assessments with behavioral simulations.
