Annick Sartenaer is a Professor at the University of Namur, affiliated with the Department of Applied Mathematics and Complexity. She holds a Doctor of Science degree (1991) and an HDR (1999). Her research focuses on optimization algorithms, nonlinear programming, and numerical methods, with contributions to trust region methods, constrained optimization, and convergence analysis. She leads and collaborates on projects such as MASTERMIND2 (2021–2026), focusing on meta-model-based optimization, and has extensive experience in complex systems and interdisciplinary research. Her work spans theoretical advancements and practical applications in fields like environmental modeling and digital communication.
