Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Annette Mütze is a full Professor at Graz University of Technology's Electric Drives and Machines Institute, serving as its head since 2010. Her academic journey includes roles as an Assistant/Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Warwick. She holds a PhD from Technical University of Darmstadt (summa cum laude) and dual engineering degrees from Ecole Centrale de Lyon and TU Darmstadt. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary advancements in electric drives and machines, addressing efficiency, reliability, and system integration across electrical engineering, materials science, and systems engineering domains.
Key research contributions include foundational work on inverter-induced bearing currents, manufacturing impacts on steel performance, and fractional horsepower drive innovations.
