Annette Ferguson

Annette Ferguson is an Associate Professor at Marshall University School of Nursing, where she has focused her scholarly work on enhancing nursing students' success through innovative educational strategies. She completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) in Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University in 2017, with research on preventing catheter-associated urinary tract infections.

• Leadership Roles: Director of the Pre-licensure BSN program (2019), Interim Chair of the School of Nursing (2022)
• Research Focus: Clinical instructor training, meditation for test anxiety, simulation/adaptive quizzing for knowledge retention, and resiliency in nursing students
• Professional Engagement: Treasurer and Financial Officer for the West Virginia League of Nursing (WVLN) for six years; member of WVONL, ADDNE, and NEFWV

Dr. Ferguson has presented at numerous conferences and published in peer-reviewed nursing journals. She is certified as a Nurse Educator (CNE) by the National League for Nursing and has over 25 years of clinical and educational experience.
