She leads multidisciplinary collaborations to develop clinical infrastructure for improved detection and treatment of postpartum pelvic injuries, studies female pelvic anatomy structures in detail, and develops innovative reconstruction techniques while implementing opioid-free surgical recovery protocols.
Dr. Madsen has received extensive recognition for her contributions:
- Multiple teaching awards including Humanism in Teaching Award (2023) and Ob/Gyn Faculty Teacher of the Year (2023)
- Top Doctors recognition in Urogynecology (2022)
