Annemieke Witte

Annemieke Witte is a Researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, affiliated with the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences and working within the Clinical Child and Family Studies department. She is also associated with APH - Mental Health and LEARN! - Child Rearing research groups.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on Secure Base Script knowledge in attachment theory, including its heritability and transmission across generations. She investigates emotional development in individuals with intellectual disabilities, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder, and evaluates interventions like video-feedback to improve parenting practices. Her studies often incorporate oxytocin and vasopressin in understanding attachment security and fatherhood.
