Anne Mollen is affiliated with the Department of Communications at the University of Münster. Her research focuses on digitalization, sustainability, and socio-technical systems, particularly in the context of artificial intelligence and automated decision-making. She holds a PhD from the University of Bremen (2018) and has held roles including Chair of YECREA (2016–2018) and Senior Policy & Advocacy Manager at AlgorithmWatch (2021–2022). Currently, she leads the 'SustAIn' project, developing sustainability criteria for AI systems.
Educations: BA in Communication and Political Science at WWU Münster (2006–2009); MA in International Communications at the University of Leeds (2009–2011). Doctoral thesis on the socio-technical constitution of digital communication spaces.
