Dr. Anne Mcbride is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Southampton, affiliated with research groups including the Centre for Perception and Cognition (CPC), Centre for Research on Self and Identity, and Southampton Ethics Centre. Her research focuses on animal welfare, veterinary behavior, human-animal interaction, and companion animal studies. She holds honorary roles at institutions such as the University of Nottingham and has been recognized with prestigious awards including Fellow of the International Society of Anthrozoology and Honorary Life Associate status in multiple veterinary associations.
Her research projects include studies on homeless populations and their pets, child-animal/robot interactions, and exotic animal husbandry practices.
