Anne-Marie Tougas is a full Professor at the Department of Psychoeducation, Faculty of Education, Université de Sherbrooke. Her research focuses on mental health recovery for children and adolescents, emphasizing the bioecological development model and participatory research approaches.

Her work examines: 1) Recovery concepts for youth mental health, 2) Environmental influences on recovery (family/school/community), 3) Development of clinical practices for intersectoral collaboration, and 4) Youth/family involvement in care design. She employs qualitative and mixed-methods research.
Recent publications focus on anxiety prevention in schools (Hors-Piste program), photovoice methodology for adolescent mental health, and school reintegration after psychiatric hospitalization. She has secured over 2 million dollars in grants from agencies like CRSH, FRQSC, and CIHR.
She leads the GRISE research group on social adaptation of childhood challenges and has developed the Trampoline protocol for school reintegration. Her work bridges psychoeducation with public health and community-based interventions.
