Her current research focuses on the importance of dance and movement for human health, particularly the social aspects of health. The interdisciplinary project "Dance, Movement and Health" includes several subprojects:
- "I can through dance" - examining creative dance for children on the autism spectrum
- "Dance and movement as a stress-reducing activity"
- "Dance and movement for the elderly with dementia diagnoses"
- "Dance in Nordic Film" - investigating dance types in Nordic films up to 1960
