Anne Levesque is an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa, affiliated with the Faculty of Law and its Common Law Section. She combines academic work with legal practice, focusing on human rights and public interest litigation.
- Educated in history and political science before earning her law degree from the University of Ottawa (2007)
- Master of Arts in International Human Rights from the University of Oxford (2016)
Her research examines equality rights, discrimination, and mechanisms for access to justice. She actively represents clients in administrative tribunals and courts across Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and has participated in landmark human rights cases such as the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society of Canada complaint (2016 victory).
She contributes to community organizations as an associate at the Broadbent Institute and a member of the Human Rights Committee of the Council of Canadians with Disabilities.
