معرفی
Anne-Katrine Frank serves as a Special Consultant in the Porse Group at the Biotech Research & Innovation Centre (BRIC), part of the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. Her research is centered on hematopoiesis and blood cancers, with a particular focus on genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying acute myeloid leukemia.
Her research interests span hematopoietic stem cell biology, transcription factor function in blood cell development, and the role of specific genetic mutations in leukemia pathogenesis. Dr. Frank's work primarily investigates CEBPA mutations, TET2 lesions, and other molecular alterations that drive leukemogenesis and affect disease progression. Her research employs advanced genomic techniques including ChIP-seq and has contributed to understanding how transcription factors like ERG and PTBP1 regulate stem cell maintenance and differentiation.
Dr. Frank has published extensively in high-impact journals including Nature Communications, Science Translational Medicine, Cell Reports, and Blood. Her research has been widely recognized with numerous citations and has influenced clinical understanding of familial AML and potential therapeutic approaches. Her work on engineering human mini-bones represents innovative approaches to modeling hematopoiesis and cancer metastasis.
As a member of the Porse Group led by Professor Bo Torben Porse, Dr. Frank collaborates extensively with researchers across Denmark and internationally, contributing to significant advances in understanding the molecular basis of blood cancers and stem cell regulation.
