معرفی
Anne Eichmann is an Ensign Professor of Medicine (Cardiovascular Medicine) and Professor of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Yale School of Medicine. She serves as Co-Director of the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center (YCVRC) and holds fully joint appointments in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and Cellular & Molecular Physiology. Her research focuses on vascular and lymphatic development, guided by molecular signaling pathways like Notch, Netrin, and VEGF.
Education:
- PhD, Université Paris XI (1994)
- MSc, Weizmann Institute of Science (1989)
Research Interests:
- Guidance of vascular patterning via tip cell signaling
- Lymphatic vessel development and function
- Role of UNC5B and Netrin-1 in blood-retina barrier integrity
- VEGF-C in neurovascular and lymphatic interactions
- Neurovascular plasticity in metabolic regulation
Her work bridges developmental biology and translational medicine, with applications in stroke, Parkinson's disease, and cancer therapy.
Recent Article Trends:
- Focus on vascular guidance molecules (Netrin-1, UNC5B)
- Lymphatic system's role in neuroinflammation and immunity
- Therapeutic targeting of ocular and brain vascular malformations
Labs/Teams: Co-Director of the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center, collaborating with teams in vascular biology, immunology, and neuroscience.
