Anne Clancy is a Professor in the Department of Health and Care Sciences at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, based in Harstad. Her academic work centers on public health nursing with a focus on ethical dimensions of care and health promotion across the lifespan.
Research Interests:
- Ethics in Nursing: Development of theoretical frameworks for ethical responsibility in public health nursing practice
- Sibling Support Systems: Interventions for siblings of children with complex care needs through school-based programs
- Health Promotion: Innovative methods including reading groups and visual communication in adolescent health
- Nursing Education: Analysis of theoretical foundations in nursing curricula with emphasis on abstraction levels
Her recent publications (2022-2025) demonstrate consistent focus on sibling experiences in complex pediatric care contexts, ethical decision-making in public health nursing, and innovative health promotion strategies in school settings. Key methodological approaches include qualitative research, meta-ethnography, and action research projects integrating fiction literature and visual methods.
