معرفی
Associate Professor Anne Aimola Davies is affiliated with the School of Medicine and Psychology at the Australian National University. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Auckland (1999) and a Postgraduate Degree in Clinical Psychology. Her research focuses on cognitive and clinical neuropsychology, particularly visual and somatosensory attention, neglect, anosognosia, and neurorehabilitation. She has led or collaborated on significant grants, including studies on stroke recovery, neuroethics, and attentional networks. Teaching responsibilities include courses on neuropsychology, clinical neuropsychology, and research methods. Her work bridges clinical and theoretical neuroscience, with publications in top journals like Neuropsychologia and Cortex.
Her research explores pathological inattention (e.g., unilateral neglect) and its relation to phenomena like inattentional blindness. Notable contributions include studies on self-touch illusions, the neuroanatomical basis of neglect, and the role of expectation in perception. She has investigated sensory-motor integration in stroke patients and the ethical implications of neurotechnology through collaborations like the Oxford Centre for Neuroethics. Her publications since 2002 span book chapters and peer-reviewed articles, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to cognitive dysfunction and rehabilitation.
Grants include leadership roles in NIH-funded studies on stroke recovery (2008–2012) and collaborative projects on neuroethics (2009–2014). Teaching spans undergraduate courses (e.g., PSYC1003, PSYC3016) and graduate clinical neuropsychology programs. Her laboratory focuses on translating cognitive neuroscience insights into clinical practice, particularly for neurorehabilitation strategies targeting attention and body awareness deficits.
