Annalysa Lovos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Arizona, specializing in human cognition and its neural correlates. She earned her Ph.D. in Psychology (Cognition and Neural Systems track) from the University of Arizona in 2024, following a BA (2005) and MA (2006) in Sociology from the New College of California. Her research bridges human cognitive systems and artificial intelligence, focusing on memory consolidation, sleep, and cognitive development across the lifespan.

Her work explores memory consolidation and sleep interactions, cognitive development in both typical and atypical contexts, and AI as a model for cognitive systems. Lovos has received the Accelerator Fellowship (2025) and Brightfocus Fellowship (2023). She teaches courses on cognitive development, dementia, and developmental cognitive neuroscience.
