Annalise Fletcher is an Assistant Professor in Communication Disorders & Deaf Education at Utah State University. She holds a PhD in Speech and Language Sciences from the University of Canterbury (2017). Her research focuses on dysarthria treatment outcomes, listener perception of speech impairments, and the impact of neurological conditions like Parkinson’s disease on communication. She teaches courses such as Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Hearing, Voice Disorders, and Acoustics of Speech and Hearing.
Her recent work investigates listener effort in response to dysarthric speech and the role of educational interventions in improving societal attitudes toward communication impairments. She has mentored multiple graduate students in communication disorders and deaf education.
No scientific awards are noted, but her publications appear in prestigious journals like the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research.
