Annalisa Mangiaracina

Annalisa Mangiaracina is a Full Professor in the Department of Jurisprudence at the University of Palermo. Her work focuses on Criminal Law, European Judicial Cooperation, and Migrant Rights, with a particular emphasis on procedural reforms and cross-border legal enforcement.

Research Interests: Mangiaracina's scholarship addresses critical issues in criminal procedure, including in absentia trials, asset freezing orders, and mutual recognition of judicial decisions within the European Union. Her recent work explores the intersection of technology (e.g., facial recognition) and procedural fairness, as well as migrant rights in supranational contexts.

Publications: Over the past decade, she has extensively published on topics such as European Investigation Orders, judicial cooperation in organized crime cases, and procedural reforms in Italy and the EU. Her articles span monographs, journal contributions, and conference proceedings.
