Dr. Annabel Cox is a Senior Lecturer in Comparative Literature at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with the Department of Comparative Literature and Culture within the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film. She holds a PhD, MA, and BA. Her research focuses on migration narratives in Caribbean literature (particularly Cuba), representations of mental illness across genres, and maternal imagery in myth, religion, and politics. She currently leads the department’s teaching initiatives, coordinates contributions to the Liberal Arts program, and chairs the Comparative Literature Staff-Student Liaison Committee. Her recent work examines student engagement with sensitive topics like mental health and its societal impact, supported by the HSS Student Bursary Fund.
