Anna Zoli is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Brighton's School of Applied Social Science (SASS). Her work bridges Social and Community Psychology with transdisciplinary approaches, focusing on grassroots movements, religious discourse analysis, and non-clinical mental health. She holds a BSc and MSc in Communication with honors, award-winning theses, and international teaching experience at York St John University and SWPS University, Poland.
Research interests include Discursive Psychology analyzing religious ideologies (e.g., Roman Catholic Church discourse on LGBT+ communities), community resilience in environmental crises, and space's role in identity formation. She actively participates in LGBT+ networks and promotes inclusive education, emphasizing dialogical learning and critical thinking in classrooms.
Key awards include the UAAR Prize (2009), Leo Birzoli Prize (2011), and recognition as Best Bachelor Student (2008). Her recent work addresses queer feminist interventions, community-supported agriculture for mental health, and statactivism in NHS/Higher Education. She collaborates internationally and serves on editorial boards like Feminism & Psychology.
