Dr Anna Wilmore is a Stipendiary Lecturer in German at St Hugh's College and St Anne's College, University of Oxford. Her research focuses on medieval poetry, particularly exploring late medieval Marian lyrics in poetic competitions and their relationship to urban spaces and devotional practices. Her current project examines play in pre-modern women's religious writing. She teaches German and French medieval literature, translation, and courses such as Gottfried von Strasbourg's Tristan and Medieval French lyric.
Dr Wilmore instructs across various levels, including Preliminary and Final Honour School courses, and has held prior teaching roles at Somerville College. She actively engages in outreach, offering taster sessions for students interested in languages and medieval studies.
