Anna Tippett is a Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, contributing to the fields of Sociology, Criminology, and Criminal Justice. She leads modules such as Hate Crime and Discrimination, Sociological Theories of Crime, and Understanding Crime and Deviance.
Her research focuses on gender, sexuality, feminism, lad culture, media representation, and retributive justice. She holds a PhD in Sociology & Communications from Brunel University, an MSc in Sociology & Social Research from the University of Southampton, and a BSc in Sociology from Buckinghamshire New University.

Tippett leads two research projects: 'Coming Out’ as LGBTQ+ in Everyday Life and 'A Baby at 50!’ exploring media depictions of fertility. Her work critiques societal norms around gender, justice, and reproductive rights.
Her articles address necrophilia legal reform, gender in motorsports, fertility treatment inequity, and cyber-vigilantism. She emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to sociological issues.
