Anna Słysz is a Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Cognitive Science, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She serves as Dean's Representative for Psychological Support, organizing university-wide psychological services, and is editor-in-chief of the journal Psychological Tests in Practice and Research. Her teaching focuses on Psychological Diagnosis and Counseling, with student office hours held Mondays 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. in room 102.
Her research centers on case conceptualization in psychotherapy, cognitive errors in diagnostic decisions, trait theories of personality, self-knowledge mechanisms, and psychological forgiveness concepts. Recent work examines pandemic-related mental health impacts through the lens of early maladaptive schemas and develops Polish adaptations of forgiveness assessment tools.
Her publication history reveals consistent methodological innovation, employing conceptual mapping, thematic analysis, and matrix factorization to deconstruct expert clinical reasoning. This work bridges theoretical psychotherapy models with empirical validation of diagnostic processes across diverse therapeutic orientations.
She leads significant research initiatives including an NCN OPUS 6 grant on expert knowledge structures in case conceptualization (2013-2016), a university grant on identity formation (2020), and a Rektor's grant on pandemic psychological consequences (2020-present). Her external collaborations include coordinating university psychological support services during COVID-19 and partnering with the Wielkopolska School of Gestalt Psychotherapy on treatment efficacy research.
