Anna Szyjkowska-Piotrowska is an Associate Professor of Art Theory at the Fine Arts Academy in Warsaw and the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, while also lecturing at Collegium Civitas. Her international engagements include roles as Associate Researcher at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Deputy Head of Art Collections at the Polish Library in Paris. Previously, she served as Chair in Humanities at University Rennes-2 (France) in 2018.

- PhD in Philosophy of Culture, University of Warsaw
- Habilitation in Philosophy, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University of Lublin
Her research spans philosophy of culture, art theory, and interdisciplinary aesthetics, with methodologies integrating anthropology and linguistics. Current work at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne's ACTE Institute investigates contemporary metamorphosis in artistic and philosophical discourse, emphasizing avant-garde expressions and ethical dimensions of visual representation.
She authored two monographs analyzing visibility in art (Po-twarz, 2016) and avant-garde music/visual theory (Dyrygując falom, 2019), and co-edited Politics of Face (2024) on aesthetic seduction and ethical gaze dynamics.
She leads research at the ACTE Institute (Aesthetics and Critical Theories of Culture) in Paris, focusing on metamorphosis in contemporary art-philosophy intersections.
