Anna Szalwa

M.Sc. Anna Szalwa is a Polish artist and lecturer specializing in drawing, animation, graphic design, and performance art. She completed her thesis at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, defending her work "Death Is Not There. Intermedia Spectacle" in 2019, which earned the Best Diploma award. Her interdisciplinary practice bridges graphic design, multimedia installations, and performance, as seen in her graduation piece now housed in the Lower Silesian Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts.

Anna has received multiple accolades, including scholarships from the Minister of Culture, the Mayor of Wrocław, and the Academy's Rector. She won a major competition for the mural "Let's Tell Wrocław" (2016) and has exhibited widely in group shows and student exhibitions. Her "drawing theater" performance style combines visual art with live performance, showcased in works like "Śmierci nie ma" (Death is Not There).

Collaborating with theaters, she designed animations and multimedia for productions such as "The Blue Dog" (2020), "Schulz's Books" (2018), and "King Matt the First" (2019). Her expertise is reflected in academic contributions, including the graphic design catalog "Dyferencje" and the publication "Manual. Designing Visual Communication."
