Anna Soveri's research centers on understanding the psychological underpinnings of vaccine hesitancy, including trait reactance, trust in medical authorities, and the influence of conspiracy beliefs. She also investigates cognitive mechanisms such as working memory, bilingualism, and executive control, often using neurocognitive and behavioral methods. Her work integrates experimental, longitudinal, and cross-national designs to develop evidence-based communication interventions.
Her recent publications show a strong trend toward interdisciplinary public health research, particularly in designing and testing communication tools for healthcare professionals dealing with vaccine-hesitant patients. Projects like JITSUVAX (H2020-funded) highlight her role in international collaborations aimed at improving vaccine confidence across Europe. The articles demonstrate expertise in psychological inoculation, message framing, and behavioral spillover effects from the COVID-19 pandemic.
