Anna Salomonsson is a Lecturer and researcher in Literary Studies at Linnaeus University, Department of Film and Literature, within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. She defended her doctoral thesis in 2017 on postcolonial power relations in Sara Lidman's works and has since focused on ecocriticism, children's literature, and literary didactics. Her roles include subject manager for literary studies (2022–2025), vice-dean (2022–2023), and coordinator for Swedish within supplementary pedagogical education (2020–2023).
Research interests span postcolonial studies, ecocriticism, and gender analysis, with notable contributions to analyzing climate crisis in literature and colonial discourse in Nordic contexts. She is affiliated with research groups such as the Linnaeus University Centre for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies and the Centre for Subject Didactic Research in Arts and Humanities (Cähl).
Her teaching includes courses on women’s writing, Elin Wägner, and postcolonial literature, alongside contributions to teacher education programs. Recent publications highlight critical engagements with Mats Söderlund’s poetry, children’s literature pedagogy, and ecocritical analyses of Nordic authors.
