Anna Reetta Rönkä

Anna Reetta Rönkä is a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the Research Unit of Biomedicine and Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oulu, Finland. She contributes to EU-funded projects like ArcSolution (2024–) and collaborates with local and Indigenous communities in Arctic contexts.

• Loneliness: Investigates experiences of loneliness in Northern Finland using mixed-methods approaches.

• Gender Equality: Analyzed intersectional gender dynamics in Arctic academia and kinship structures via direct-to-consumer DNA testing.

Rönkä actively contributes to academic networks, serving as vice-lead of the University of the Arctic’s Thematic Network on Health and Wellbeing and secretary of the Nordic Society for Circumpolar Health.
