Dr Anna Qianyao Cai is a Lecturer in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of New South Wales (UNSW), since 2011. She earned her PhD (2008) and B.Sc. with First Class Honours (2004) from the University of Melbourne and held postdoctoral researcher and lecturer positions at the University of California, Irvine, from 2007 to 2011.

Her research focuses on Biological Mathematics, applying mathematical frameworks to biological systems.
