Anna Pletnyova

Ganna (Anna) Pletnyova serves as a Learning Technologies Specialist at the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning’s Learning Technology and Design Team, while holding an Adjunct Assistant Professor position in the Faculty of Arts, School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Calgary. Her work bridges technology and pedagogy to enhance educational experiences.

Research Interests: Anna focuses on integrating Universal Design for Learning (UDL) into online language education, leveraging immersive technologies like extended reality (XR), and addressing sociolinguistic dynamics in multilingual contexts. She actively develops accessible course resources and facilitates workshops on inclusive teaching practices.

Anna contributes to educational innovation through publications on online linguistics pedagogy, UDL strategies, and cross-cultural language studies. She teaches courses such as LING 309 (Language and Power) and FREN 225/227 (French Grammar), and leads workshops on student engagement and conflict resolution for international teaching assistants.
