Anna Olovsdotter Lööv is a Senior Lecturer at Mid Sweden University, affiliated with the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSV) in Östersund. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Gender Studies and serves as Director of Studies.

Her research focuses on identity formation in rural contexts, de-centering urban norms in LGBTQ studies, queer rural experiences, and the intersection of gender, activism, and environmentalism. Recent work explores climate activism through maternal mobilization (e.g., Rebellmammorna) and grassroots movements.
Her publications include studies on postdoctoral challenges in gender studies, queer rural communities in Nordic regions, and methodological approaches to multi-sited ethnography. These span themes like intersectionality, social inclusion, and rural-urban dynamics.
As Director of Studies, she contributes to academic leadership and curriculum development. She has co-edited the anthology Aktivism: En antologi om arbete för social och politisk förändring, emphasizing grassroots efforts and marginalized voices.
