Anna Matos-Mournighan

Dr. Anna Matos-Mournighan is a Visiting Assistant Professor and Graduate Program Director at Salve Regina University. As a first-generation Latina and advocate for equitable healthcare systems, she integrates her Puerto Rican heritage into her commitment to fostering inclusive education. Her work bridges academic leadership with practical expertise in healthcare administration and nonprofit management.

• B.A. in Sociology from Rutgers University
• M.S. in Nonprofit Management from Worcester State University
• D.H.S. in Health Sciences (Healthcare Administration concentration) from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

Her research focuses on leadership pathways for Latina healthcare administrators, aging services, and combating ageism. At Salve, she aligns institutional values of justice and compassion with healthcare education, preparing students for ethical leadership. She has presented at national organizations like the National Council on Aging and the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives, and serves on the board of the Women’s Resource Center of Newport and Bristol Counties.
