Anna Marklová is a Researcher affiliated with the Faculty of Language and Literary Studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where she contributes to the CRC project 'Expressive dislocation and register in Czech vs. Russian' (A03). She is concurrently pursuing a PhD in psycholinguistics at TU Dortmund, focusing on motion events and linguistic relativity. Her research integrates experimental methodologies, including eye-tracking and behavioral data analysis, to explore language-specific patterns in Czech, Russian, and German.
Her work emphasizes register analysis, particularly using multidimensional analysis (MDA) to investigate situational contexts of language use. She collaborates on projects like 'Slavic in a multilingual setting: Register and fused (hybrid) lects,' examining how formality and mode of communication influence linguistic perception. Key interests include cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistic variation, and experimental design.
Publications highlight her experimental studies on Czech register dimensions, speaker evaluations of situational contexts, and methodological innovations in corpus-based research. She actively participates in academic networks, presenting findings at linguistics conferences and workshops.
