معرفی
Anna Maria Roslawska is a Research Group Leader in the Nanoscale Science Department at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany, a position she has held since 2023. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institut de physique et chimie des Matériaux de Strasbourg (IPcms), CNRS, France, from 2019 to 2023, working in the group of G. Schull. She earned her PhD jointly at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research and EPFL, Switzerland, between 2015 and 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Klaus Kern.
Her educational background includes Bachelor’s and Master’s studies in Applied Physics/Nanotechnology at Gdańsk University of Technology, Poland, completed between 2009 and 2014.
Dr. Roslawska's research focuses on the frontiers of nanoscale science and quantum phenomena at surfaces. Her work involves advanced experimental techniques, particularly scanning probe microscopy, to investigate electronic and quantum properties of molecules and nanostructures at atomic scales. This research has significant implications for future molecular electronics and quantum technologies.
Her publications, while not listed here, can be explored via her Google Scholar profile, reflecting her contributions to condensed matter physics and nanotechnology.
Scientific Awards:
- Emmy Noether Programme (2024)
- Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung Nexus grant (2023, declined)
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship (2020)
As a Research Group Leader, Anna Maria Roslawska leads an independent team, indicating active supervision and mentorship of junior scientists and potential future PhD students. Her career has been supported by highly competitive grants, including the prestigious Emmy Noether Programme, which funds outstanding early-career researchers in Germany to lead independent junior research groups.
She is a key member of the Nanoscale Science team led by Prof. Klaus Kern at the Max Planck Institute, contributing to one of Europe’s leading centers in experimental nanoscience. Her group conducts cutting-edge research on quantum effects in low-dimensional systems, utilizing ultra-high vacuum and low-temperature scanning probe techniques.
