Anna M. Peterson is an Associate Professor of History at Luther College, specializing in modern Norwegian history with focuses on immigration, women’s/gender history, and indigenous studies. She holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University and has taught in Norway through academic exchanges. Her research examines intersections of ethnicity, education, and indigenous rights, notably at the Bethany Indian Mission. She serves as editor for the Norwegian-American Historical Association and has received awards like the Nena Amundson Distinguished Professorship (2018-2020).
