Anna Linhoss is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Mississippi State University, where she has been a faculty member since January 2013. Her work bridges environmental engineering and ecological systems, with a strong emphasis on water resources and sustainability.
Her research focuses on hydrology, ecology, climate change impacts, watershed management, and environmental modeling. She leads several projects on the Mississippi Gulf Coast examining salinity changes, oyster reef restoration, and sediment transport, supported by funding from NOAA, the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, and internal university grants. She is deeply engaged in mentoring graduate students and teaching courses such as biosystems simulation.
Linhoss emphasizes collaboration and interdisciplinary research, working with colleagues across MSU and external agencies. She also serves as the faculty advisor for the student chapter of the American Society for Agricultural and Biological Engineers, fostering student engagement and professional development.
