Dr. Anna Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), where she joined in Fall 2022. Previously, she held an assistant professor position at the University of Minnesota and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Toronto's Electrical Engineering Department, Argonne National Laboratory's Center for Nanoscale Materials, and Chemical Science & Engineering divisions. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto.
Her research focuses on advancing next-generation energy storage and conversion systems, sensing technologies, and nanoscale plasmonic sensors. Key areas include understanding electrical/optical properties of micro-nano systems, interface engineering between components, and developing innovative power sources. Her patented work addresses fast-charging batteries, solar cells, membrane technology, and sensing systems.
Dr. Lee's long-term goal is to create disruptive advancements in sustainable energy, environmental solutions, and sensing through novel device concepts. She holds office hours Fridays 10:30 AM-11:30 AM and 2:45 PM-3:45 PM in ECS-513.
