Anna Kemp-Casey

Dr. Anna Kemp-Casey is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the School of Population and Global Health, The University of Western Australia. Since 2007, she has been affiliated with the Centre for Health Services, focusing on medicines utilization, pharmaceutical policy, and analysis of population-level health data. She holds a PhD from the University of Western Australia (2007).

Her expertise includes pharmacoepidemiology, health record linkage, and cost barriers to medicine use. Key research areas include evaluating Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) policies, endocrine therapies for breast cancer, and opioid utilization trends. She has advised on NHMRC grants totaling over $3.5 million.

Recent projects include investigating ART-associated medication risks, genetic heart disease registries, and the impact of co-payment increases on statin adherence. She has held visiting fellowships at the Sax Institute and the Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute.
