Dr Anna Katila is a Presidential Fellow at City St George's, University of London (now merged as City, University of London), specializing in genocide aftermaths, mass atrocities, and peacebuilding. Her work bridges legal, creative, and media discourses with transitional justice, memory studies, postcolonialism, and gender analysis.

- Former teaching/research roles at King's College London, SOAS University of London, and London Southbank University
- Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Conflict Studies, Philipps-Universität Marburg (2022)
Her research focuses on:
- Transitional justice mechanisms in post-conflict societies
- Interdisciplinary methodologies combining literary analysis and social science
- Memory construction and postcolonial frameworks in atrocity aftermaths
- Genocide education curricula for UK secondary schools
She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature and War Studies from King's College London (2022). Her recent publications have appeared in the International Journal of Transitional Justice and Textual Practice.
