Anna-Katharina Ferl

Anna-Katharina Ferl is an Associate Fellow at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC) at Stanford University since 2024. Her work focuses on the regulation of autonomous weapons systems and military Artificial Intelligence, bridging Political Science, Science and Technology Studies (STS), and International Security.

Ferl has held visiting positions at Cornell University (2023) and the University of Southern Denmark (2023). She co-led the PRIF PhD student colloquium (2021–2022) and worked on projects like "Norm Disputes: Contestation and Norm Robustness" and "Impact Analysis of Germany's Feminist Foreign Policy in Arms Control".
