معرفی
Dr. Anna Julia Poser is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Planetary Geophysics at the Institute of Geological Sciences, Department of Earth Sciences, Free University of Berlin. She contributes to ESA's PLATO mission through exoplanet characterization and machine learning development for inferring planetary composition from observational data.
Her academic background includes:
- PhD in Theoretical Physics, University of Rostock (2018-2024), Dissertation: From clouds to cores: advancing the understanding of giant irradiated exoplanets
- M.Sc. in Physics, University of Rostock (2014-2018), Thesis: Der Einfluss von Wolken in der Berechnung der Struktureigenschaften großer Exoplaneten (The influence of clouds in the calculation of structural properties of large exoplanets)
- B.Sc. in Physics, University of Rostock (2011-2014), Thesis: Masse-Radius-Relationen von Exoplaneten (Mass-radius relations of exoplanets)
Dr. Poser specializes in coupled modeling of planetary interiors, atmospheres, and long-term evolution, with emphasis on hot Jupiters. Her doctoral research demonstrated how deep cloud layers alter planetary radius contraction and how atmospheric plasma-magnetic field interactions sustain inflated radii. Current work focuses on bridging theoretical models with PLATO mission observations through machine learning tools for exoplanet composition analysis.
She is an active member of the Planetary Sciences and Remote Sensing working group within the Institute of Geological Sciences.
